I had a mix of experiences during my stay at Cluaran House. The hospitality from Ibrahim was definitely a highlight, as he was always smiling and willing to help. However, I faced some issues with the parking situation, which significantly affected my ability to enjoy the city's attractions. Overall, it was a pleasant but somewhat frustrating experience.

Rooms

The room was clean and tidy, though I found it a bit lacking in plug sockets and storage space. It felt like the room might have just started being used recently, so some teething problems were present.
Service

Ibrahim provided really good service, going above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed, from booking transportation to addressing concerns about a slippery shower (he added a mat right away!).

Cluaran House is situated in a lovely area of Bruntsfield, close to bus stops and major city sites like the castle. However, I struggled with parking options, which made accessing these attractions more challenging.
Dining

The breakfast was decent with options for both European and traditional Scottish fare. I appreciated the homemade touch, but I would have loved to see a better-quality sausage offered.
Facilities

While the guesthouse had essential facilities like WiFi and a TV, I did find the lack of ample power outlets limited the overall convenience of the room.

I had a pleasant stay at Cluaran House, with highlights including a warm welcome from Ibrahim and a delicious Scottish breakfast each morning. The cozy rooms offered a nice atmosphere, though they were a bit snug for my family. The location in Bruntsfield was convenient, allowing easy access to local restaurants and attractions, though we mostly opted for taxis after a tiring trek through the city. Overall, it was a good experience, but there were a few minor inconveniences.

The location was ideal for exploring Edinburgh, and the accommodations were clean and comfortable, although I did encounter some minor issues with my room. The breakfast was decent, though it could use a little improvement in quality. Overall, I felt well looked after during my time there.

Rooms

My room was clean and tidy, and the bed was comfortable, but I was in the attic with a lot of stairs. There weren't many plug sockets available, and the shared bathroom setup could be better advertised.

Breakfast included a good choice of food, although I would suggest upgrading the quality of the sausages. The coffee was served in a Cafetiere, which was a bit different for me.

My stay at Cluaran House was good overall! The rooms were clean and full of comfort, and the breakfast options were delicious, including gluten-free choices. However, I did have some issues with parking availability that complicated my exploration of the city. Despite the minor setback, I found the experience enriching, enhanced by the warm hospitality of our host Ibrahim. 🌟
